Want a little ’60s nostalgia? This fireplace is it. Made entirely from corrugated cardboard, it comes in a box that becomes part of the fireplace. Assembly involves gingerly stacking wobbly cardboard parts, cutting a doorway where the “flames” go, then connecting the parts with plastic clips. Once put together, it can’t be moved or it will fall apart, but it is remarkably stable aside from that. Very cool, ultra retro. Not even slightly kid or dog proof. but that’s part of the fun. This was all the rage when I was about 5–everyone seemed to have a fake fireplace just like this one.

Just like my friends family had when I was growing up. We don’t have a fireplace and it held our stocking very well. It was easy to put up and brought lots of laughs to our family and friends. Folds up nice and compact for storage.

I bought this for my high school class room to brighten the place up for the holidays. It is so cheesy that the kids took to it right away - they made socks to hang on the mantle, fake burning logs for the fire, a small carpet and rocking chair, and a cane! Well worth the small price.
